STEM Next’s Million Girls Moonshot seeks to re-imagine who can engineer, who can build, who can make. It will inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators by engaging one million more girls in STEM learning opportunities through afterschool and summer programs by 2025.

 

 

 

Through powerful partnerships, the Moonshot focuses on altering the way STEM programs are delivered to incorporate proven strategies that lift up both boys and girls as they become future STEM leaders.

Transformative Programming

The Moonshot delivers innovative, inclusive content and professional development focused on developing an engineering mindset and creating career pathways.

National Scope

The Moonshot is active in all 50 states, leveraging the Mott-funded 50 State Afterschool Network, with access to more than 10 million young people and 100,000 afterschool programs.

Closing the Gap

The Moonshot will equip community and state leaders with innovtive, gender inclusive tools and strategies in order to prepare and inspire a million more girs in STEM.

Role Models, Mentors & Families

The Moonshot connects corporate partners and other STEM professionals to serve as role models and mentors for youth. The Moonshot also fosters the sustained involvement of families, a critical, motivating part of a child's persistence.
