In this lesson, youth reflect on their immersive experience where they learn about different prehistoric creatures through their fossils and gain an understanding of where and how they lived by completing a series of handouts and refer back to the TimePod Adventures website for clues. The TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter Educator Guide and link to the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter immersive experience are provided. 

To prepare for the lesson:

1. Review pages 4-11 of the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter Educator Guide. 
2. Set up the launch page of the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter website on your class computer
3. All laptops set up to access the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter website as reference for youth (enough for youth to work in pairs).
4. Print pages 7-10 from the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter Educator Guide for everyone. 
5. Pencils and paper for everyone. Colored pencils, crayons or markers for sharing, if available.

During the lesson:

6. Divide youth into pairs and distribute pages 7-10 from the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter Educator Guide.
7. Follow the instructions on page 4 and 5 of the TimePod Adventures: Plesiosaur Encounter Educator Guide. 
8. Have youth complete the Secret Museum Message handout first, in pairs, followed by a discussion of the results.
9. Introduce the Fossil Sets activity handouts and have youth work in pairs to decipher the three sets of fossils. Depending on time available, you may have each pair decipher Fossil Sets A, B and C or just one of the handouts.
