Grants Support Cross-Sector Partnerships Between Informal Science Institutions and Higher Education – Proposals due 9:00am ET on Oct. 3, 2016

The National Center for Science and Civic Engagement (NCSCE) is requesting proposals for Partnership Champions: SENCER-ISE and Professional Development Through Mentoring to Enhance Learning Environments. Partnership Champions is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Science Foundation, and the Noyce Foundation .  The SENCER-ISE Partnership Champions initiative will provide one-year sub-awards to five cross-sector partnerships. Each sub-award will provide $10,000 (matching funds required, in-kind allowed) for awardees to begin the process of planning and establishing an ongoing collaboration.   The Request for Proposal includes links to the application guidelines and application form. Performance Partnership Pilots (P3) Round 3 – Proposals due Oct. 31, 2016

According to the Forum for Youth Investment, P3 allows local, tribal, and state agencies to enter into an agreement with the federal government to grant broad flexibility in using discretionary federal funds for disconnected youth. P3s can request to (1) blend their existing federal discretionary funds across multiple eligible programs and (2) receive flexibility from specific federal program requirements. Discretionary funds eligible for round 3 can come from the Department of Education, Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Institute for Museum and Library Sciences, Department of Justice, and Department of Housing and Urban Development.
