Liv Jacobson is a mission-driven communications professional who has worked in the education and nonprofit sectors, focusing on making a difference in the lives of young people globally. Liv uses her love for writing and her digital expertise to shine a light on organizational impact, reaching a wide range of audiences to help STEM Next expand its reach.
Prior to STEM Next, Liv was a consultant with Collaborative Communications Group for six years, working with clients primarily in the learning and education field to advance their communications strategies. Working at Collaborative in both public relations and digital strategy, as well as front-end web development, Liv has a diverse skill set that has helped keep her clients ahead of emerging challenges.
She previously served in a communications role at MCD Global Health, a public health nonprofit that provides a wide range of health and research services globally. At MCD Global Health, Liv honed her expertise in translating complex technical information for diverse audiences, working directly with project staff on the ground in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to bring their stories to life online.
Liv graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and Spanish from Tulane University. Born and raised in the Maryland suburbs, she now lives in the heart of Washington, DC, where she enjoys exploring the region’s diverse culinary scene and is active in the improv comedy community.
