Strategic Advisor

Tessie Topol works at the intersection of the for- and non-profit sectors, advising clients – including the STEM Next Opportunity Fund, C.S. Mott Foundation, Cartoon Network, The Lemelson Foundation and YouTube – on cross-sector strategic partnership development, cause initiative strategy, and positioning and branding. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience and insights drawn from her various leadership roles in both business and CBOs. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Time Warner Cable (TWC). In this role, she was the driving force behind its award-winning signature philanthropic initiative, Connect a Million Minds (CAMM), a $100M commitment to connect young people with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning opportunities. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Ms. Topol served as Director of Strategic Partnerships & Public Affairs at MTV and Director of Development at the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Ms. Topol holds a Master’s degree in international affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs and a Certificate from the Harriman Institute of Russian, Eurasian and Eastern European Studies, both at Columbia University. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
