Andria Parrott, PhD

Research & Program Associate

Andria is the Research and Program Associate of STEM Next Opportunity Fund. In this role, Andria supports the Associate Director to build systems that enhance STEM Learning opportunities in all 50 states, and works with research partners to guide STEM Next’s research agenda. Her primary focus is supporting the expansion of the Million Girls Moonshot, a transformative nationwide initiative from STEM Next that will re-imagine who can engineer, who can build and who can invent.

Prior to joining STEM Next, Andria was a Research Scientist at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where she coordinated research studies focused on child health and school readiness. Andria’s career has focused on educational equity, having begun her professional journey as an elementary school teacher with the Teach for America movement and later studying the implementation of school-based initiatives to support child health and school success. She holds a PhD in K-12 Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University.
