A Community-Driven STEM Collaboration
STEM Next is the national convening partner of Imagine Science, bringing together four leading national youth organizations—YMCA of the USA, the National 4-H Council, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Girls Inc.—that was formed in 2015 to bridge the STEM gap by igniting the imaginations of youth, now in 23 local communities nationwide.
Imagine Science embodies our belief that hands-on, informal exposure to STEM boosts confidence, fuels curiosity, and builds a foundation for success. Working within Common Collaborative Roles like curriculum design, data collection, and quality improvement, as well as Unique Local Contributions that leverage each community’s strengths, Imagine Science creates dynamic, inclusive learning experiences. This national network brings STEM to life through local strategies—ensuring programs are relevant, engaging, and consistently delivered to inspire the next generation of innovators.
