Jill Curry Program Manager, Flight Crew Jill Curry is the Program Manager for the Flight Crew at STEM Next Opportunity Fund, leading a national youth ambassador program that amplifies young voices in STEM and promotes equity in out-of-school learning. With over 20 years of experience in science education, curriculum design, and youth engagement, Jill creates inclusive, hands-on STEM programs that foster creativity, confidence, and leadership. Her career spans K–12 education, professional development, and nonprofit leadership. Jill has authored instructional resources for organizations such as Discovery Education, WiseWire, and the Smithsonian Science Education Center, and co-designed STEM curriculum units for international audiences. She has led district-wide curriculum development and designed student-centered programs integrating technology, storytelling, and real-world problem solving. Before joining STEM Next, Jill worked as a teacher and science curriculum specialist. She is also co-founder and executive director of Emery Farm, a nonprofit animal sanctuary where she develops youth initiatives rooted in advocacy, education, and community connection. Jill holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Syracuse University, and an Educational Leadership Endorsement from Longwood University. Based in Northern Virginia with her family, she is also a practicing artist whose work explores animals, nature, and rural life—blending creativity and care for the natural world.
