“STEM learning outside school has shaped my neuroscience research. In 7th grade, with a computer and Pearson’s Digital Image Processing, I felt unstoppable. Through science fairs, I’ve researched Parkinson’s, won awards, and connected with mentors like Dr. Tsay and Dr. Niranjan. Presenting my work strengthened my communication, and I now help underrepresented students enter science fairs. This experience shaped my passion for accessible healthcare and a dream for my future telehealth startup.”
