Alyssa is interested in pursuing engineering.

“I continue my research and lab experience mostly over school breaks, reinforcing my passion for scientific exploration. My goal is to protect and extend life through science by making treatments accessible and affordable for all. I want to contribute my experiences, from growing up in Mexico City to engaging with rural and urban vulnerable communities to research addressing real-world, complex challenges, and my afterschool opportunities, from internships to clubs, have allowed me to do so.”
