As young people navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving job market, afterschool and summer programs represent an untapped but uniquely positioned partner in the career pathways ecosystem. Afterschool programs offer flexible, innovative, and engaging experiences that extend learning and career preparation beyond the classroom.
This webinar will introduce a new resource developed by STEM Next and Jobs for the Future, Building Bridges with Industry: Integrating Career-Connected Learning into Out-of-School Time. The playbook will outline how afterschool and summer program providers and statewide afterschool networks can serve as natural allies to education, industry, and workforce intermediary partners, creating innovative pathways for career awareness, exploration, and preparation that meet both youth and employer needs.
Audience: This event is designed for afterschool and summer program leaders, providers, and staff, including directors, professional development and quality specialists, and facilitators, funders, board members, and the broader workforce development community.
