Home > Resources News & Announcements STEM Next Joins Crayola Creativity Week October 8, 2025 STEM Next is proud to be an official partner of the 2026 Crayola Creativity Week, a celebration of children’s creativity and the joy it brings to teaching and learning any subject. Creativity Week is January 26-February 1, 2026, providing seven days of free creative resources for schools, libraries, homes, and afterschool programs. Creativity isn’t just for the arts – STEM careers use their creative skills every day to solve real-world problems in new and innovative ways. NASA engineers, for example, had to think quickly during the Apollo 13 mission to come up with a creative solution to bring their three astronauts home safely after an accident, creating a homemade carbon dioxide filter that could be recreated by the team on the Moon, consisting of a plastic bag, cardstock, a spacesuit hose, and duct tape. Thanks to their creative thinking, the astronauts made it home safely. STEM Next is excited about the opportunity to share more afterschool STEM resources with the millions of children who participate every year to help show young people how creative STEM can be. In 2025, Creativity Week reached over 13 million children in almost 100,000 learning sites. Educators know that kids are naturally curious, and they need to put their imaginations into action. Creativity Week’s activities, resources, and themes are integrated into engaging, standards-aligned, hands-on creative experiences that empower kids to find their voice and express their originality. 2026’s activities include free creative learning resources, giveaways, a virtual assembly event for schools, and educational videos featuring celebrity creative guests.
