“Each Friday, I volunteer at EngineerGirl—a STEM program for underserved girls. That first Friday, I saw 9-year-old me in their shining faces, eager to learn and grow. Yet as much as I’ve taught them, they’ve taught me so much more. Viewing STEM afresh from their eyes inspires my dedication to STEM and to ensuring it becomes a space for everyone.”
