Dr. Patty Allen leads the Research and Evaluation Department at The PEAR Institute. Her expertise focuses on translational research in two core areas essential for 21st-century college and career readiness: science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning and social-emotional development (SED). Dr. Allen was awarded a doctoral degree in Experimental Psychology from Tufts University in 2013 and has a demonstrated record of research productivity in the areas of psychiatry, neuroscience, and STEM education. Dr. Allen supports multiple national efforts to measure and improve STEM and SED outcomes to help ensure that young people across the country have positive, high-quality experiences when they participate in STEM activities.
