STEM learning should be everywhere and for everyone. But for the 74 million school age children in the U.S., that’s not a reality. For young people, 80% of learning happens outside the classroom. Afterschool and summer programs are powerful, proven settings for youth to explore, develop and apply STEM skills.
That’s why we’re doubling down on what works and setting a big goal: 20 million more youth.
Our national initiatives lean into existing infrastructure to infuse STEM into 100,000+ local afterschool and summer programs nationally and reach millions of youth.
