Curriculum and Training: Technovation Girl Challenge
Become a Technovation Moonshot Ambassador! An ambassador will be charged with the leading the following:
– Recruit leaders (i.e. teachers, afterschool staff, museum staff etc) to lead Technovation’s Girl Challenge 12-week program with at least 30 girls total. For example, if you recruit 2 leaders, each leader would have to work with 15 girls; 3 leaders 10 girls etc.
– Support leaders to recruit at least 30 girls total, not 30 girls each leader.
– Support leaders and girls to complete Technovation’s Girl Challenge 12-week program; Curriculum, resources, mentors, and support for leaders and girls will be available
– Participate in periodic check-ins throughout the 12-week program with Technovation and MGM staff and participate in an end of the season ambassador meeting. Selected Ambassadors will receive a $5,000 stipend to support their work outlined above.
Best suited for program directors or specialists working with three or more program sites who believe girls should have access to technology and entreprenuership programming who have a place for students to meet and access computers and internet.
August 19: Deadline to apply to be a Technovation Moonshot Ambassador (TMA)
September 9: TMAs are notified of participation September: TMA orientation including signing of an MOU and receiving the 1st installment of funds
October – January: TMAs recruit leaders, minimum 30 students, and volunteers to participate in Girl Challenge program
January – April 2023: TMAs support teams to complete Girl Challenge program and participate in periodic check-in calls with Technovation and MGM staff
May: TMA’s, leaders, and girls participate in regional pitch events and TMAs receive final funds (if qualified)
June: TMAs attend season close meeting August: TMAs, leaders, and girls attend Global World Summit (optional but highly encouraged!)
